Workshop of artistic tile-works

For centuries, authentic works of art have being realized, taking the ceramics as a base. The taste for this type of elements is kept alive in our halls, courts, patios, frontages, monuments, etc. The Sevillian ceramics have turned out to be influenced by several cultures. The step of the Arabic people, which has perpetuated these magnificent works of art, has been a great teacher for us. Later, we were influenced strongly by artists Italianos who came to Spain for this was a starting point towards the New World. The above mentioned artists introduced us in technical piece of news and colors not known by our people. But, certainly, we cannot forget of all the peoples that have happened for our peninsula and, therefore, they have left trace in our history, beginning from the prehistoric times, continuing for the Phoenician and Greek colonizations, the Roman people, epoch califal and, finally, Mudejar and Jewish.

When we walk along our city we can contemplate in the frontages of our churches and houses of brotherhood reredoses realized with tiles, representing the image venerated in this place. Also there are typical these Sevillian courts tiled by cloths of tiles, the presence of a ceramic source, macetones sets with nice hunts and, as not, the image of our most venerated saint taken form of a picture of tiles.

So all this and more we can offer him in our workshop, betting for the quality and not allowing to "eliminate" the artistic and handmade ceramics. Specializing in all work related to tile, from the simplest badge up to the biggest baseboards of Renaissance or baroque style (for mentioning someone), happening for the unsurpassable ceramic reredoses of the most deep-rooted Sevillian style. The whole style and formation given for internationally known Escuela of Craftsmen of Gelves, teacher of many workshops of ceramics. Ángel Lora is part in the team of teachers of the above mentioned school, practising as teacher of painting.
